Today, I read an article on Yahoo about the difference in pay between a worker at McDonalds, and the CEO. To make a long and depressing story short, the hourly worker, who has been there for years already, would have to work 1 Million hours to make the same amount of money as the CEO did last year.
So, since we are not smart enough to put the 91% top tax rate back in place, even though history shows it worked wonders for employees income, I think we should make a statement by instituting a 47% top tax rate. The 47% has significance in that it will remind all CEO's that Mitt Romney made 47% a famous number. It will remind them, every time they pay taxes, that the guy they chose to back as a Presidential Candidate, the same guy who wouldn't show his taxes, wouldn't answer questions, wouldn't give interviews to anyone that didn't work for Fox News that we have had enough.
47% isn't near enough in my opinion, but it is way better than 39.6%.
