Republicans will not change their beliefs, and they can't change your beliefs. What they can do is make you believe they have changed their beliefs. It's like Lucy holding the football, and the American people playing Charlie Brown, the nice kid who just never quite loses his gullibility. So they play this role of they have learned to get back into power, and we all end up flat on our backs. Ever wonder why the Republicans seemed to go so far off the rails, in defiance of just plain old logic this time? Because this was going to be their last time. It's all they were going to need.
I believe this last election loss was so devastating to Mitt Romney because it was going to be the greatest money making scheme of his career.For Mitt Romney, becoming President was going to be his greatest hostile takeover. This plan had so much upside to it that there was just no downside, and there was going to be hundreds of Billions in it for him and his donors..(I mean his investors) He said it himself, he told you where he was going to get his profit from.
Military.Contractors....hugely profitable contracts, approved by the new CEO, (I mean President) making the Federal Reserve printing presses hum 24/7....off the presses and into the Cayman Islands accounts....after it passes through numerous defense contractors so everybody gets a piece of the action of course. He said he wanted to increase military spending by 2 TRILLION dollars.That is a huge amount of money to siphon profit off of But wait....Social Security has 2.7 trillion in it....wow, we can privatize that and we'll have to rent every one of U-Haul's trucks just to have enough to take the money away

That is what Mitt Romney was after, and that is why he was so shocked....he was calculating his losses....I'm surprised he didn't throw up during his concession speech.
